Hi there,
A Dec. 12 council resolution is now in effect, separating utility invoices from property tax notices. The change was presented to council as a way to help residents better understand their property taxes, providing two invoices instead of one. It also creates a potentially smoother transition for future utilities metering systems as Revelstoke continues to grow.
"The separate utility invoice and property tax notice will also be broken out into two different payment deadlines," the City of Revelstoke wrote in a post on their Facebook.
Residential utility invoices will be sent out Thursday, March 28 with payment due Tuesday, April 30. Property tax notices will be sent out Friday, May 31 and payments will be due Tuesday, July 2.
