Good afternoon folks! 


This Wednesday the municipality released a statement on the health centre, sharing it will be moving forward with the proposal from Dr. Catherine Nowierski. 


β€œSPMRM and the proponent, Dr. Catherine Nowierski, are actively collaborating to re-open the Sun Peaks Health Centre,” the municipality shared.

The Halloween for Hunger initiative wrapped up last week. While this year’s food drive collected less than last year’s, Milly Driver, Sun Peaks Resort LLP (SPR) event coordinator, said the team is already planning another community food drive for December.

Nov. 20 - After The Snowfall screening 🍿


The After The Snowfall film premiere will take place Nov. 20 at the Paramount Theatre in Kamloops. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the film screening at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $10 for TRU students, with proceeds supporting the Sun Peaks Freestyle Club, the TRU Foundation and Kamloops Search and Rescue.


Nov. 21 - Rail Riot 🎿


Join Friday, Nov.β€―21, at  6β€―p.m. on the campus of Thompson Rivers University for a high‑energy night of skiing and snowboarding as athletes ride a legendary handrail between OLARA and the NPH building. All ages are welcome and spectator admission is free. Expect giveaways from sponsors like Red Bull, Sun Peaks Resort LLP and Spoke Bike & Ski. Come cheer, connect with the community and kick off winter with style.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Nov.β€―22, when the mountain officially kicks off the 2025‑26 winter season!

Start the 2025‑26 winter season at Sun Peaks Resort with your first run and a warm, complimentary cinnamon bun at 8:30β€―a.m. Saturday,β€―Nov.β€―22  for this village-based tradition alongside mascot Harry Bear and mountain air.


Nov. 22 - Après and Ales 🍺


Celebrate the first day of the 2025–26 ski season at Masa’s Bar and Grillβ€―in Sunβ€―Peaks with a festive aprΓ¨s‑session from 3β€―p.m. to 6β€―p.m. on opening day. Enjoy great company, cold beers and the mountain vibe as the village kicks off another epic winter.

Get ready to celebrate the spirit of winter at the film premiere of Warren Miller’s SNO‑CIETY Nov.β€―22  at  The Villageβ€―Base atβ€―Masa’s Bar + Grill. Doors open atβ€―7:30β€―p.m., with the screening starting atβ€―8  p.m. This year’s epic alpine adventure showcases top athletes carving out powder and passion across the globe, from Alberta to Austria. Start your ski season strong and centered with UpLIFTed Yoga Weekend, happening Nov. 22–23. Led by Kayla Alfred and hosted by Sun Peaks Yoga, this rejuvenating weekend is designed to prepare your body for those first exhilarating laps on the slopes and keep you balanced all season long.

Sun Peaks Church will be holding a service every Sunday evening at 5 p.m. Everyone is welcome to join at the Annex.


The Thompson-Nicola Regional Library’s mobile library visits Sun Peaks School every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Whitecroft Village from 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.


Fridays


AA community addictions meetings run every Friday at Sun Peaks Secondary beside the Health Clinic, starting at 7:30 p.m.
