WEEKLY NEWS FOR OCT. 7

Hi there,

This week is all elections, with early voting beginning today! Take advantage of advance polling on Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sun Peaks Centre, 3200 Village Way.

The second advanced voting opportunity will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m at #106-3270 Village Way.

Electors must have two pieces of identification to prove both residency and identity, and at least one piece must provide a signature.

These include a BC Driver’s Licence, BC Services Card, a document issued by the government of Canada that certifies registration under the Indian Act, a citizenship card issued by Métis Nation British Columbia, vehicle insurance papers, Social Insurance Number, property tax notice, credit card or debit card or utility bill.

Below you’ll find a link to our dedicated election landing page, including a recap of the all-candidates forum, candidate Q&As, voting guides and more.

Can’t make the early voting days, or don’t have the time to review candidate platforms at this moment? That’s ok. SPIN will send one more election-focused newsletter ahead of final voting day, Oct. 17.

We’re hard at work getting a guide together for the provincial election, so look out for that next week.

Enjoy the rest of the week and have the most wonderful weekend Sun Peaks!
