WEEKLY NEWS FOR DEC. 18

Good afternoon folks!

I hope everyone is ready for the holidays. If you’re anything like me there is always a mad rush the week before Christmas to make sure my whole family has something special to open. For those of us still running around, we are resharing a local gifting guide from last year so you can be the star present provider this holiday season while supporting businesses that make Sun Peaks special.

We have some information about the community grants in aid process, which is now open to applicants. Take a read and be sure you review all the requirements before submitting your application. Grants can be used for capital and event projects. Applications are due by Jan. 12.

We also have a story on another exciting addition to the new year, AltiTunes the spring festival bringing music and more to the peaks. Scroll down for more information.

Finally, we have a recap of the holiday kick-off which brought long-time artists, returning visitors and newcomers to the village for some festive fun! Read the full story below. Plus contributor Brad Harrison shares what we know about the snow: A conditions report for the early season.

P.S. Grab our Winter Issue anywhere in the village this week! It's the last of the year, so don't miss it.

Thank you,
